Denial
We are officially entering week three of Oppressive Southern Heat. Temperatures, without Heat Index, currently average in the low 100s, with no relief in sight.
It has rained once. For ten minutes. When the sky cleared, the temperatures jumped 10 degrees, and it was Muggy. And Sticky. Ewww...
Therefore, I am actively pursuing denial.
I have started listening to this cd already.
Do NOT judge me. We all cope as best we can.

did you get some rain tonight?
I'm loving it, but now I'm going to have to mow grass this weekend I bet.
P.S. - I'm also trying to figure out how I'm going to pay the electric bill.
I guess you don't wanna hear about rain and 65* in Seattle, then?
Brenda - Another 10 minute thunderstorm here. I was so hopeful!
Rick - Actually, YES!
My daughter told me today it was only 65 in DC today, and a blogger from Philly said she wanted hot cocoa today!
I like hot weather, but 105* is ridiculous!
If only we could find a way to share. I'll take 10 degrees of your heat and send you a day of drizzle in exchange.
TWISTED SISTER? Christmas Carols?
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. I need it. Where do I get one?
We got rain on my side of town (Mebane) last night for about 35 minutes but it was the first rain in weeks. My grass started to green up as soon as that rain started to hit the ground tho.
It's 70* and nice here in Seattle.
*international hand signs for judging*
Puh leeze. Day 60+ of 105+ in Vegas.
And don't tell me "it's a dry heat." At 118, it's just plain effin' melting hot.
Feel better now?
Tiff -
It's called "Twisted Christmas" - and it came out last year.
"Heavy Metal Christmas" is probably my favorite. There's nothing better than getting "A new Ozzy Tattoo, 11 black mascaras..." etc as Christmas gifts.
I am also a softie for tbe Christmas Carol set to the tune of "We're Not Gonna Take It".
The heat has been oppressive here in West Virginia too. My 16 year old daughter LOVES to wear a lot of makeup. The other day I took a double take when I saw her come into the house. She looked like a wax museum fire casualty. Apparently, most of her makeup had melted off her face.
When she went out this morning, I noticed she had decided to go au natural.
It's a much better look for her anyway.
I curse you and your love for snow and cool temperatures
