Alive and Kicking...

I accidentally took a few months off.  I've been around, but...just...not...well...

I feel like my creative bend has dried up, withered away and DIED. I'll find something funny, go to write it down and...**poof**. Gone. I feel like what I have to say has been said and overdone.  I am tired. I am worried.  I am stressed out.

After over 2 years at the Gym that I Loved, we took a serious look at our Return On Investment and pulled the plug.  We were spending over $80 per month, and I was the only one able to go.  Chachi has had pretty serious health issues - and Nooze is 14 months from 'qualifying' for upper gym use. So that outlet (and expense) met the ax.

We have downgraded other expenses, cut additional trips to the store to the bare minimum, and now  maximize trips to town by 'bundling' chores.  It all helps.  It may take time, but I'm hopeful.

Or I was...until the dryer broke.  I took it well; we have had gorgeous weather and have been blessed with a great "umbrella" clothesline.  Until Saturday, that is - when the pipe broke underground and the line toppled over while filled with clothes.  On the bright side, the post didn't break until AFTER the clothes were dried.  Naturally, we still had two loads to go. One of the loads was TOWELS.

Chachi looked up the dryer symptoms online, fearing that the repair would cost more than the dryer was worth.  He found two possible issues.  The most likely is also the most expensive. At about $75 (tops), our dryer should be back in working order.  If it's not THAT part, the second likely issue tops out at about $30. There's a silver lining in the clouds yet.  May it not be a sign of lightning...

[Post note: I refuse to be beaten. My towels have been washed - and are hanging outside on a drying rack. I moved the dogs in order to get maximum sun.]
