Southland in the Springtime...

There's just something about the first few days of Spring-type weather.  The air seems lighter, the breeze seems cleaner, birds are chirping... They're the few weather-perfect days here in the South before Pollen comes a-callin' and coats everything in what appears to be a Nuclear shade of Yellow.  I'll take what I can get, though.

Having taken a Solemn Vow of Fun this year, I opted to take a few days off from work.  Seriously, thanks to my many years at Destruckto, I now collect upwards of 20 vacation days per year.  Plus my birthday, holidays and random "float" days deemed by the Higher Ups.  I am now on my final day of a Four Day weekend.

It has been pretty fun.  On Friday, after delivering The Nooze to her bus stop, I ran small errands and returned home.  I was done by 7:30 am.  I drank what can only be described as a Tankard of coffee, cleaned, then read.  A LOT.  It has been glorious.  Save for a trip to Church yesterday, I have completed precious little on the Master To Do List.

I have spent as much time outside as my medication allows (even SPF has its limits), but have enjoyed every minute of sunshine possible.  Next week, providing the weather holds, we will Plant Things.

Happy Spring to you and yours!

Yesterday looked and felt like Spring, but not today, sadly. It will be back into the 70's by next weekend, according to the weather people. I sure hope they are right.

Last Sunday was Spring here in Latteland. At least it fell on the weekend this year.
Hope Summer will fall on the weekend as well. Then everyone can go on a picnic.
