I have agreed to take the Nooze and her classmate to an obscure event known as a Sock Hop tomorrow night.
Rumor has it that there may be "Beach" music, Fifties music, and, quite possibly, the presence of fiddles.
Please, God. Let there be a Mosh Pit.

DUDE! I used to go to sock hops when I was a kid. Mom made me a poodle skirt. They are way fun.
They generally don't have a mosh pit, though.

My daughter got in trouble in middle school for inciting a mosh pit at a pep rally.
At least they get to go to one. Dances and field trips were banned at my schools because the kids kept sneaking in liquer and funny cigarettes....
