A Rose By Any Other Name...
You know those gooey things you find in your eyes first thing in the morning?
My mother used to call them Sleepy Seeds.
I call them Eye Boogers.
Nooze calls them...mulch.
I'm not sure whether to be pleased or horrified.

I like 'mulch,' actually. My sister has called them 'goo-goo clusters' all her life. A co-worker calls them 'eyegers'(the contraction of eye boogers, I suppose). I call them...

The Wife calls it Goose Poop. Not sure where it originated, but if you think about it...

I used to get it so bad when I was a kid, it would leak out all over my lashes and then dry, so when I woke up I couldn't open my eyes. It scared me every single time. My mother would have to bathe them in warm water and open them gently.
I might have to try some mulch in the tomato garden this year.
