Exhausted
Sorry for the slow week around here. Fourth quarter is up and rolling at work. Nooze is in Kindergarten. Fall has hit us head on, and I am frankly reeling.
Changes on the work front are coming about as well. After *(forcibly) accepting a position that I was not qualified for, the Cavalry has finally arrived.
A new guy, whom I have dubbed Boy Wonder, will take over my position as Warehouse Boss. This happens in two short weeks, and I AM EXCITED. This means no more INVENTORY for me!
The downside? I will lose my office. As I am remaining a Boss, I find this confusing. We have an unused conference room that could definitely be morphed into an office. I will be returning to a cubicle - which equals another time consuming retrofit. These take FOREVER in our office, as Big Boss and Boss One are masters of Procrastination. As a result, I am not packing or moving until everything is in place. Boy Wonder will simply have to share with me.
On to other news. I have now taken THREE shots of Humira. My skin is clearing nicely, and the arthritis is easing up. I still can't wear my wedding band, but it is getting close! I still have stomach pain, and have lost a total of 12 pounds to date. I will return for follow up with Dr. Yup-Yup after shot #4. More blood tests (and a kidney panel, I think) will be completed at that time. I will let you know more as time progresses.

Renn, I don't know about Humira. What is it for? Seems to be working well for you.
Moving up in the world, aren't we??
Great! Now that someone is taking some of the load off you, I'll send you some of mine to even us up. :P
Kenju - I have psoriatic arthritis. My body is a tempermental old cuss, and loves to attack itself with overloads of white cells (TNF). The Humira kills the white cells, thus minimizing the arthritis - and the psoriasis.
Tiff - Naw, just OVER. I am accepting a lateral transfer. I'll still be a boss (6 WOMEN!) - but won't have to count things. I will have to brush up on floor plans, though.
TM- I am willing to help with MEMOS only. I will also volunteer to make the coffee. Prepare for STRONG, and throw out the Decaf. You won't be needing it.
Renn, how do I get myself a boy wonder -- I am drowning both at work and at home and am thinking of just letting myself sink!!!
Damn, girl...you have a lot going on. Take care of YOU first, then worry about the rest.
HUGS!!!
Welcome back to Cubicle-ism!
I am glad that Humira seems to be working.
You sound very strong and forthright in this post, RR. I am overcome with admiration at how well you're adjusting to the change at work. I'd hate to lose an office--privacy is so hard to come by at work.
Hey Renn
Glad to hear you are doing better on the health front.
Sending you some good luck magic fairy dust for all your issues on the work front :)

Glad the Humaira is working.
I also want a boy wonder. Let us know how well he works out.
