On Blogging...

For the record, I stole this from Biff Spiffy...

1-Do you like the look and the contents of your blog? I suppose so. I would love to be creative and cool and bright, but really. This is as exciting as I get.

2-Does your family know about your blog? Yes, but only my sister reads on a regular basis. I'm fine with that. REALLY.

3-Can you tell your friends about your blog? I didn't have to. Chachi the Proud made sure to tell EVERYONE. At CHURCH. I was nervous at first, but the Cool People read it. (I'm talkin' to you, Jules and Mel!). Thankfully, they understand my sense of humor (or pretend to). Now, if only they'd comment! NO ONE in my division at work knows about the site, and I like it that way. Someone from the Company visits regularly. I know who they are, and LOVE that they visit. Again, COMMENT!

4-Do you just read the blogs of those who comment on your blog? Nope. Nor do I only visit the blogs listed in my Daily Travels section.

5-Did your blog positively affect your mind? YES. I was terrified that people would find me, tell me to give up, and wander away. The opposite has occurred, and I am more confident about my writing now. I am also convinced that choosing Construction over Journalism was a very good idea, indeed.

6-What does the number of visitors to your blog mean? Oddly, much less than it used to. I have more readers now, but I am more concerned with the relationships than I am with the Stat Count. It IS nice to have a heavy day, though!

7-Do you imagine what other bloggers look like? Yep, and some of you are pretty freakin' cute.

8-Do you think blogging has any real benefit? Yes. It is an excellent outlet!

9-Do you think that the blogosphere is a stand alone community separated from the real world? No. I think it is an outlet. We all need to go outside and talk in person, though.

10-Do some political blogs scare you? Do you avoid them? No, they don't scare me. No, I don't avoid them. I simply haven't found any original content yet. When I do, I may stay to read more than 2 lines.

11-Do you think that criticizing your blog is useful? I suppose. If you have nothing better to do. Again, I do this as an outlet. I have no desire to churn out my GAN (Great American Novel) here. (It's called "Searching For Toast", by the way. And I am writing it.)

12-Have you ever thought about what would happen to your blog in case you died? Yes. There will be an entry (posted by my survivors) instructing you that the Party has just begun...

13-Which blogger had the greatest impression on you? No fair! Initially, probably the WVSR, as that is where I met most of my friends. Then, definitely Wordnerd. Yeah. Blame THEM.

14-Which blogger do you think is the most similar to you? None of 'em. I am in a world all of my own.

15-Name a song you want to listen to? That's a rather odd turn. Hm. Mambo Italiano, I suppose. Sung by Rosemary Clooney, not Bette Midler.

Believe it or not, I heard Mambo Italiano not long ago - on Sirius radio - before the subscription ran out.

You're writing a novel? I'm impressed! I hope you'll let me read it, Renn.

I love it! Fun to have you play. More fun to count you as a friend (you did know I've been counting you, right?)

Yeah, on #3... it's something I'm less reluctant to trot out lately, since people who actually visit & read have had a sense of humor about it.

I love Mambo Italiano! I haven't heard it in ages, though. Time to check Pandora...

Another reader here that's glad you blog. Isn't it great seeing the world through so many different eyes?

Oh yay! Renn's answers!

But I am not mentioned as her sole source of inspiration.

Must.Change.That.

:> (XO, from you BIGGEST fan, Tiff)

It's very refreshing to find a woman that enjoys a heavy day instead of complaining about it.

Awww -- you are the absolute COOLEST. And that has nothing, I tell ya, NOTHING to do with #13. Nothing.
