The presents are purchased
The candles are lit
Dinner is cooking
The dogs are in fits.

The tree is a glowing
The dishes are done
We will all settle down
for our Christmas Eve fun.

Rudolph is blaring
The cat, he just puked
popcorn is out
and about to be Nuked.

We will awake at mid morning
for pancakes and toffee
left over fruitcake
and near tepid coffee.

We will open our presents
Under our Christmas tree glow
and, in 70 degree weather
Pray HARDER for snow...

Christmas Dinner will cook quickly
--We're having hot dogs--
with frosted up cookies
and half scrambled Nog...
