Place Blame Here

Dear Eastern NC,

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this random snow storm may have caused you. I realize that schools are closed, businesses are on delay, and the local stores have run out of bread and milk. It's our fault.

Actually, to be more precise, it's Nooze's fault.

She has been praying for snow all winter. She recently revised her prayer to "Lord, if you see fit, I'd love 2-4 inches of snow to play in with my daddy. We could have a snowball fight, make snow angels and even a snow man! I'd really like it a lot. Amen."

Fast forward to today. The weather report, originally slated simply for "cold" and "scattered, light flurries" in random areas...turned to two inches of snow in the Sandhills. This turned to four inches, then six.

School was canceled in our area at eight pm, "just in case". Chachi has the day off tomorrow. Snow may commence at any time.

BAH! Humbug!

Just say no to snow!

Just teasing; I am happy for Nooze!
I still hope it melts by tomorrow.

I told Mrs A "We don't have winter here, I miss winter" What followed was a couple of weeks of unending snow, freezing, storms and wind. I take it back. I'm tired of winter. It can end any time now.
Hope Nooze enjoyed her snow.

It's 39 here now. Could Nooze send me some snow? I would send her cookies in trade.
