Yes, These Are My Final Answers...For Now
Last week, in a fit of whimsy (or, perhaps, desperation for blog fodder), I asked NCP to "Interview Me". Upon receipt of the following questions, my body opted to play Defiant Child and got sick. Now that I am up and among the living again, I thought I'd finally ANSWER the questions that I have been carrying around (Printed! REALLY!) for the past week.
Question #1:
What movie can you watch over and over and enjoy it no matter how many times you've seen it? And Why?
Honestly, this one goes in cycles. I have four or five favorites in the rotation. Some Kind of Wonderful, Postcards from the Edge, Shaun of the Dead, Biodome and Beavis and Butthead Do America immediately come to mind. According to my husband, the current truth (of the past few years) would be Overboard. It's an old one, but I really, really, really love Kurt Russell...and Goldie Hawn getting her due. I'm also a sucker for Dave. 'Cuz really? It's Kevin freaking Kline.
Question #2:
Did you like to read as a kid? Do you remember the first author that switched you from juvenile books to the "adult" (not porn) section?
I have always loved to read. The book that 'transferred me from YL to AD? That would be Up the Down Staircase by Bel Kaufman. Anyone who read my tribute to my Mum a few years back knows the back story. I was also an early fan of Richard Bachman, who, as we know, turned out to be Stephen King. Rage is probably my favorite short story, followed closely by Thinner. I desperately wanted to be a fan of Tabitha King [SK's wife], but was never able to get there.

Question #3:
You are cooking a five course dinner... what are the courses? (cost / skill is no object.)
Let's see. I'd go with Sushi, Miso Soup, Pad Thai with Chicken, Vietnamese Chicken Salad and random desserts. I'm a great fan of Pan-Asian.

Question #4:
If you could live anywhere in the world and be assured that you would have a job that allowed you to live comfortably there... where would it be?
I'd live somewhere in the South Pacific. Period. Or I'd work in a Romanian Orphanage as a Mom. No joke.

Question #5:
Vacation: Is it a relaxing week spent on a beach, or an action packed trip to some place you've never been to see as much stuff as you can fit in the schedule?
According to my husband, my idea of vacation is to go to exotic places with great plans...and opting to nap instead. He's probably right. To tell the truth, though, my favorite way to spend vacation time is with my sister, at her house in Northern Maine. If we lived closer, I would ALWAYS be at her house. It's probably best (for both of us) that I'm a 22 hour car ride away.
So there you have it. In reality, I am a Stephen King loving, Pan-Asian eating, wanna be globetrotter/homebody...
Now, if any of y'all would like to beinterrogated interviewed, let me know in the comments.

Good answers, Renn. I don't want to be interviewed; it takes too much work to think of the answers.
Merry Christmas!
