Random Confession #222
My friend and I once got two Mormon Missionaries kicked off their mission.
I won't go into details, but it involved hardcore sake, Drag Wear...and a Polaroid camera.
Please note: We didn't mean to get them kicked out. We were all 19 years old; we were all drinking the sake. Please remember that most Missionaries from this religion are sent. They are not asked. I can only guess that Mark and Gary had more fun at 'Friday Night Study' in our dorm than any other activity they encountered in the Hollers of WV during their stay.
Believe it or not, I still feel badly about what happened.

I don't care when it occurred, you are totally my new hero. Not to mention the fact that you may very well have saved their souls.
THAT IS AWESOME!!!! My mental images I'm sure can't top the real thing, but WAY TO GO! Apparently even the "chosen people" can be led astray, eh?
SO, nowadays hardcore sake and drag are acceptable missionary accessories? Is this what you're telling me?
(also - TELL ME you saw their holy undergarments!)
Scan and post the polaroids please!
You. Are. My. HERO.
Okay, you must share. How did you manage to get sake into them? I mean once that's done the rest is easy, but that? Takes talent! I am awed.
Once in a very rare while, you read something that truely inspires you to believe that there is Karma in the universe, and it can be a good thing.
I dunno, it's not like you forced them to do anything, so I don't think you should feel guilty. I mean, if they really didn't want to do what they did, they wouldn't have done it. Especially if their faith was as strong as it maybe should have been. Just possibly goes to prove that when you restrict all sorts of fun things--alcohol, caffeine, aside from all the *fun* stuff--that you wind up pushing people to do it all the more. Don't feel guilty!!
If nothing else, you made us all giggle!
I can only hope to be so great. Wow.
Bad influence! No wonder I like you.
